The Town will host its traditional 4th of July Parade down Main Street on Tuesday, the 4th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Anyone wishing to enter a float should go to www.FB.com/RWBnG for the application form. Persons interested in becoming a sponsor, donor or volunteer are encouraged to email the Stanardsville Independence Day Committee: the stanardsvilleparade@gmail.com.
Independence Day festivities will continue later in the evening between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. at Morris Field in Ruckersville – across Rte 33 from Ruckersville Elementary School. Event gates will open at 3:00 p.m. Visitors are strongly encouraged to carpool.
The Capitol Sheds Community Fireworks Display will commence around 9:00 p.m.
As in previous years, general admission and parking are both free.
