Stanardsville
The 28th annual Strawberry Festival will be held on Saturday, May 20th on Court Square in Stanardsville. This year’s festival, sponsored by Stanardsville United Methodist Church, will kick-off at 7:00 a.m. with the traditional pancake breakfast at the church for $8, followed by lunch served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for $6.
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. at SUMC, with registration and packet pick-up from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m.
Entertainment under the tent will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature the popular Hi-Horse Cloggers, The Virginia Ramblers, and The Deanes.
As usual, there will be strawberry cakes and pies available for purchase, plus crepes, shortcakes and strawberry jam.
The day-long event will include games for children, a display of vintage cars, and numerous arts & crafts vendors.
Proceeds will go to support the church’s local missions, its main outreach project this year.
