Sept 16 – Oct 30
The Town of Stanardsville will host a Quilt Show in cooperation with Shenandoah National Park from September 16 – October 30. An opening reception on Saturday, September 17, featuring SNP Superintendent Jim Northrup, will be hosted by The Palette Art Gallery, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. The Palette is located in the town’s shopping center at 8269 Spotswood Trail.
Quilts will be on display during this six-week period at The Palette, Greene County Historical Society, Greene County Library, United Bank, Pioneer Bank, Noon Whistle Pottery, and in Ruckersville at UVA Credit Union and the Greene County Visitor Center.
The “Trail of Quilts” celebrates the centennial of the National Park Service, which has 13 mini-quilts of historic value that will be traveling across the country for display at different national parks. They will be on view at the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center at SNP during the month of October.
